Why is promotional work so hard to find?

The market out there is huge and yet you still can’t find any promotional work. You can place your profile online but many of the platforms either charge you or they only hire certain people. Getting lost in the masses does not bode well for future promotional work. You really need to find a platform that allows you to be found, where you can scream and shout and tell people how fabulous you are. Getting noticed in a crowd certainly takes a lot of hard work and confidence.

So why are you getting ignored with all your profiles online? Maybe you really need to put yourself out there, or maybe you choosing the wrong platform. Most promotional companies do not allow the public to freely peruse profiles and contact the people they are interested in.

“Our jobs as promoters are to understand how the customer wants to buy and help them do so”

One of the biggest problems seems to be that there is no qualification for promoters. Your college education, degree or high school diploma certainly does not let a prospective employer know that you have any promoting skills and knowledge. Your CV can include your past promotional work, but does it make you stand out in the crowd. With a promoter’s course in your CV, it can make all the difference.

Theoretical knowledge can provide us with insights into human behaviour, including the way we as promoters handle the public whilst doing a promotion. Your future employer can only respect that you have the theory and practical experience behind your CV. Your passion and willingness to work hard will shine through, possibly turning you into a first choice!
